It has been well documented that patients who have been diagnosed with “cancer” often place other health concerns off, including dental problems. This often results in the delay of treatment and recovery from the side effects of treatment and effects on oral health.
Effective for dates of service July 1, 2022, and forward, the Department of Social Services (DSS) is increasing the dental rates for adults for endodontic services to equal the children’s reimbursement rate and for all other services on the Adult Dental Fee Schedule by 25%.

The Department of Social Services (DSS) has identified an issue with member eligibility for a new program that went into effect July 1, 2022 called Covered CT. The eligibility response for some Covered CT members in the Automated Eligibility Verification System (AEVS) and/or Automated Voice Response System (AVRS) may not correctly respond with active Covered CT eligibility. Instead, the response could incorrectly indicate a member is not eligible.
Covered CT Program (CCT) is administered by the Department of Social Services. People who qualify and enroll in Covered CT will be eligible to receive their dental benefits through the Connecticut Dental Health Partnership (CTDHP) beginning July 1, 2022.
