Pediatric and Family Practitioners: ABC Program

Oral Health Assessment and Fluoride Varnish Application Services at Well-Child Visits

The Access to Baby Care (ABC) Program for Pediatric Medical Practitioners

Provide Oral Assessments and Fluoride Treatment at Well-Child Visits

Be the hero behind the smile. As recommended by The American Academy of Pediatrics, you can enhance your well child visits with oral assessments and the application of fluoride varnish to help reduce cavities, prolong the life of baby teeth, and reduce the risk of future dental disease.

You Don’t Need to be a Dentist to Administer Fluoride Varnish

You just need to become trained to provide the service. It is free, quick and easy. The training can be provided through Smiles for Life or with the CT Dental Health Partnership’s ABC Program Program Coordinator who is a registered dental hygienist and expert in oral assessments and fluoride varnish treatments. She can help you work this process into your workflow. The training offers free credits toward your continuing education requirements.
