Important Changes Coming to HUSKY D!
Starting January 1, 2027, some adults with HUSKY D will need to meet new work rules to keep their coverage. Not everyone is affected. Nothing has changed yet, but it's important to get ready now.
What you can do now
- See if the new rules apply to you. Answer a few quick questions on the HUSKY D Questionnaire.
- Keep your contact information up to date. DSS will send you a notice if the rules apply to you. Update your address, phone, and email.
- Find your renewal month. Log in to your DSS benefits account to see when your HUSKY D renews.
- Start saving proof. Keep pay stubs, a letter from your employer, a letter from where you volunteer, or a letter from your school.
- Send your proof early. Upload your papers to Access Health CT up to 60 days before your renewal month. For example, if you renew in March, you can upload in January.
- Get free help. Your local Community Action Agency can walk you through the changes for free.
