For You and Your Older Children
Follow these simple steps on how to use dental floss, how to brush your teeth or brush your child’s teeth properly, or how your children can brush their own teeth.
For Young Children
A smear of toothpaste is all you need to keep your children’s teeth and gums healthy.
It is recommended that a parent helps with brushing up to age 7-8 years old. With flossing, a parent should floss their child’s teeth as soon as two are touching.
Removing plaque and avoiding cavities is important. Cavities are painful and can lead to more serious health problems if not treated early. Here are some tips to prevent your children from having cavities.
For Babies and Infants
Baby teeth get cavities just like adult teeth so caring for them is important. Be sure to take your child to the dentist before their first birthday. Do not put your child to bed with a bottle. Brush your child’s teeth two times every day; morning and before bedtime.
