Husky benefits cover fluoride treatments for children up to age 7

Dental cavities are the most common chronic childhood disease, five times more common than asthma. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Academy of Pediatric Dentists (AAPD) recommend fluoride treatment for all children as soon as their teeth begin to erupt.

Fluoride treatments have multiple benefits

Oral health is a key contributor to overall health. Yet many underestimate its impact. Fluoride treatments can help reduce the risk of tooth decay, gum disease and can significantly reduce the need for future extensive dental treatment. All forms of fluoride are important including the fluoride found in drinking water.

It is rewarding for you too

For each child who receives an oral assessment and fluoride treatment, you can bill the HUSKY program $45. In addition, the training offers free Credits toward your Continuing Education requirements.
