Who is Dr. Tooth Fairy?
Dr. Donna Balaski’s broad based career encompasses positions in the field of dental medicine. Her passion for dental medicine has its roots originating early in her childhood. Her passion is complemented through her formal education, which includes the University of Connecticut for her B.S. and D.M.D. degrees with further training in the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University and later Catholic Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Balaski came to the Connecticut Department of Social Services in February 2004 to begin work on the dental program. In 2008, along with BeneCare Dental Plans and the Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA) and other community colleagues, the Connecticut Dental Health Partnership (CTDHP) was formed. The Connecticut Dental Health Partnership is the dental plan for HUSKY Health and Covered CT. Their mission is to ensure all members have equitable access to oral health services.
